Yeah, they said 6 players sat out to prepare for the draft.......on a 6-6 team.  I realize it takes a team to win games, but how bad are you when you have 6 nfl talented players and only win 6 games.

Underachievement of the century considering their recruiting rankings. Can’t even score on LA Tech.

‘16, ‘17, ‘18, ‘19 recruiting classes:

LA Tech: 94, 100, 77, 83

Miami: 22, 12, 8, 27

I am selfless enough that I am willing to go along with sacrificing as many other board members as you think necessary to break the curse, it just shouldn’t be me because I contribute far too much to the greater good of the board and I couldn’t do that to this community.

A double secret poll of the community was undertaken and the consensus was, even though it would be a huge loss, for you to take one for the team ......

Just further proof that the ratings change based on which school a kid chooses. Not saying Miami doesn't have better athletes than La Tech but those are some huge differences and you have to consider Miami lost to FIU as well.

This reeks of a Judy/Doug kangaroo court.

Everyone knows that Skip is an expert of beating Miami.  He is a Miami timeout specialist!

OK, I said I was moving off this topic, but I'll say it again anyway.  You guys probably in the know more than I am, so excuse me for my ignorance.

But why in the hell, can Willie under the same presumed management, do a bang up job in recruiting, yet Mr. Skippy could not.  Am I over simplifying it?  In my mind they were under the same restrictions, so that tells me that Skippy just couldn't recruit here while Willie could under the SAME RESTRICTIONS!

If I'm wrong, explain it to me!

Because Willie has a selfish personality that is focused only on himself.

Yes. Whether his game management was good from an objective viewpoint with the talent he had it isn't a game management that appeals to the fans here. We like killer mentality go for the throat no matter what. Last two years of Taggart and some of CJS ball. We loathe conservative play calling like Holtz, Sterling and Strong.

Based on what I saw of him here, it's hard to believe Skip has had the success he's had at ECU and La Tech. I thought he was bad all around (while here anyway).....recruiting, clock management, being overly conservative....not to mention the whole Vero Beach thing that seemed like a waste of $$$. I believe he was also responsible for delivering us Chris Cosh. He took over a program that was typically in the Top 25 at some point every season, and in three years managed to take us to a 3-9 record, and  had us losing to the likes of Temple (an embarrassment at the time), and Ball State, with no possibility of him turning that around it seemed. Thankfully we canned Skip when we did and got Willie in place. May have never seen Flowers, Mack, DJ, Adams etc had Harlan decided to keep Skip around another year.

I was thinking more of them as human sacrifices to break the curse ..... doubt the selfish bastards would go along with it, though.

We’re the High Priests of Leavittism. Here to usher in the new age of CJL. Make strait his paths!
