Add that to the list of accomplishments that he can finally have at FAU 😎

He definitely can if he doesn't get a sudden case of the dream jobs.

I don't think skip was good but he got screwed by the academic standards committee....i forget the actual name. Looking back it might be the reason we missed realignment....

OK, I said I was moving off this topic, but I'll say it again anyway.  You guys probably in the know more than I am, so excuse me for my ignorance.

But why in the hell, can Willie under the same presumed management, do a bang up job in recruiting, yet Mr. Skippy could not.  Am I over simplifying it?  In my mind they were under the same restrictions, so that tells me that Skippy just couldn't recruit here while Willie could under the SAME RESTRICTIONS!

If I'm wrong, explain it to me!

The academic committee was dissolved. This is not why CSH couldn't recruit though. We were still in the big east, and were having success against some big name teams. He had no excuses. It's ironic how our 2 low energy coaches recruited poorly, and the 2 high energy ones did well.

Yeah, I guess it is what it is, there really is no good answer.  I realize that Skip was under more academic restrictions than the other coaches we have had.  I was just comparing him to Willie, who even though was under similiar restrictions, is just a better recruiter period.  That probably is the simplist answer, and there really isn't much more to it.....I do think that Skip could have been at least semi-successful here under the right circumstances.  He certainly has proven that elsewhere.

Actually glad he is happy and doing well.

I'm right there with you. I told myself a while back that I wouldn't get into discussions re: Skip.  But after winning 6 in a row and someone else starting this thread, well, I just couldn't help myself.  I will again try to set it aside.

Me too, I think I started this craziness so my bad, anyway we have alot to look forward to regardless of what Skip is doing.  I think our Football and Basketball programs are in good hands, just need patience and good things ahead, I really do believe.

Let's hope so...outside a few years with Flowers and BJ it's been rough.

Miami...talk about a team of underachievers.

Yeah, they said 6 players sat out to prepare for the draft.......on a 6-6 team.  I realize it takes a team to win games, but how bad are you when you have 6 nfl talented players and only win 6 games.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
