Lose 4-1 Same story as all season... bats die when runners are on base, base running is off. The only thing missing this game was a 3+ run meltdown in the middle innings. Frustrating but I don't want to beat a dead horse.

If not for Marlon Mack running for 275 yards against WCU in '14 we would have had back to back FCS beatdowns...I'll never forget the Boos in Sec 218 over the Tunnel as CWT was coming off the field at the half down 14-9 i think it was...Hell in '17 we had Stony Brook take us unto the 4th qtr 17-17 nail biter unitl the big TD...Even in good years those small schools can bite us...In 2007, we needed 3 TDs from Mike Ford and 4 sacks from Selvie to finally put away Elon...those small schools are not automatic gimme wins. I agree, BCC should not be taken lightly.

We would then move our operations to Orlando and take the war on I4 to the NFL. The possibilities of these various scenarios are endless and worth exploring IMHO.

I know. We have all the production returning on offense at key positions. The defense is the question mark. The defense looks improved on paper, but you know how that usually goes. We will probably see a lot of runs up the middle by multiple backs.

For the record, there is no path for USF in the NFL, but plenty of feasible paths to the Big 10. 1. ACC GOR holds up in court. B1G wants in to Florida. 2. FSU to SEC. B1G wants into Florida. Determines USF at a discounted price is a better deal than Miami at full price. 3. FSU to SEC. B1G wants to have a major FL presence. Determines that they need 2 teams to compete with SEC having 2 FL teams. USF and Miami to B1G. 4. ESPN negociates path for schools out of ACC only if they stay with ESPN leagues. B1G takes AAU member USF to have Florida presence. Are these likely, probably not, but feasible and possible.

Different teams, culture and coaches in the past. This team is hungry.

Agree, and also, if the Big 12 can't pull any ACC teams, I think we are in play for them as well. I think having a travel partner for C makes sense, and Florida is a huge market, and us plus C can put a dent in it.

Problem is, in the recent past, we either play up or down to our opponents talent.

This will be the first time since 2020 that we start off against an FCS team. We finally have an easy game to get in rhythm b4 we play the hard teams.

This gets predicted just about every year and rarely happens.

I heard we might get invited to the NFL. Both the Big 10 and NFL and equally as likely.

I think we pull ahead in the 1st and play back ups the second half.
