  1. It’s a college stadium. And it’s going to be a lot nicer and more comfy than most others in the country. The haters here must be insufferable people. Go back to nextdoor.
  2. This data also includes the 3 years under Jeff Scott. And we’re right at the heels of GaTech, Pitt, and Rutgers.
  3. Imagine Nebraska getting booted from the big10 and picked up by big12.
  4. NFL needs to set up funds for fans to contribute to player salaries. I could see a lot of hardcore fans who don’t buy tickets but watch in TV throwing a few extra dollars at it for some cheap bobble head in return. I guess this would clash with the salary cap though. College has no cap. NIL is proving fans are willing to contribute to pay players.
  5. If you’re in the ACC, you let FSU pay huge legal fees to figure out how solid the ACC grant of rights is, how much it cost to leave. Then you let FSU pay the exit fees, then once you collect those, you jump ship a year or two later, using the FSU exit fee to pay your own. No one without a spot in the Big10 or SEC is voting to disband the ACC when they are making more than they would in the Big12, have easier travel logistics, and the courts haven’t ruled on FSU’s lawsuit yet. Swaim is making stuff up for clicks. His speculations aren’t worth sharing or the clicks in my opinion. He doesn’t have sources. It’s just BS.
  6. With the rise of streaming and decline of cable, this isn’t as straight forward as it was in the past.
  7. If you have to ask, it’s a no.
  8. The suites are going to keep local businesses coming and networking at our games, especially when we’re winning.
  9. https://x.com/fifthquarterfsu/status/1770651211844272588?s=20 How does one embed Xweets on mobile?
  10. The remaining ACC schools don’t add much value to the big 12. Not enough to justify expansion. That’s why the new contract pays the Big12 and ACC the same. When FSU and Clemson and maybe UNC and Virginia are gone, the ACC will be paid less. None of the remaining members will be strong big12 additions. I think the ACC left overs have no option but to stick together and consider adding Uconn and USF.
  11. They don’t get it becoming they haven’t been close enough to construct to know. A project I was working in 2020 the suppliers were giving quotes on materials that were good for one day only. That’s how fast prices were rising. I also remember shipping containers being priced at $17,000 It’s also driving Home insurance rates up around the country because replacement costs are much higher now.
  12. The second level overhang is a feature I love. It’s uncommon on small stadiums but it’s going to help with the noise and make everyone feel close to the field. I think it’s a great design. It’s going to be a unique and well respected stadium once completed. You guys are hiding from colorless renders.
  13. You guys are a bit deluded. Ten years ago Texas A&M spent $450 million just renovating their stadium a few years ago, adding 20,000 capacity from 80 to 100k. $300 million isn’t a lot today. Not what it used to be.
  14. This is the first game I’ve watched in years. Is it just me or do the refs seem to be blowing the whistle for fouls wayyy too much? I don’t remember fouls being called like this before. Did the game change from 5 years ago? Is it zero contact now?
  15. I hope it doesn’t have shaking cameras when I’m watching on TV.
  16. I really don’t get how a 68 team tournament excludes USF (assuming we don’t bomb our conference tournament). Is our conference that terrible?
  17. It’s going to be awesome. You guys saying we’re overpaying don’t appreciate the inflation that has occurred in the last decade. And you can’t see the inside. Some of the tenders also show A LOT of chair backs seats, most of the sideline seats in fact. This will be much more than just metal bleachers. And the way it’s split level with the second level overhung to be closer to the field is unique for a stadium of this smaller size. That’s going to give it a very close to the field feel, for both the fans, and the players and coaches.
  18. Based on the numbers, no one is jumping from the ACC to big12. BUT If FSU and maybe others jump to the SEC or the Big 10, do the ACC numbers fall to below the big 12 numbers? What will be left in the ACC probably won’t add much value to the Big12 to make it worthwhile for the big12 anyway. These big12 homers on x-twitter are deluded. The ACC will snap up some American conference schools and call It a day if they lose members. Just like they snapped up the PAC schools.
  19. Okay, what $MM is it then. And what is a 300$ MM stadium?
