Mike "Crazy Legs" White is offended by your post.

More like Mike "Stork" White.     It was horrendous watching him run.

He put on a tremendous performance. After a good week against UCONN, it was like our receiver don't practice catching.  Ever.

The thing that has impressed me most the last couple of weeks is his poise and discipline to not be forced into a stupid throw into coverage.

He is doing better than I expected based on what we had seen earlier.

It could be interesting to see how things play out the rest of the year. Will be interesting to see how he performs if we fall behind and he is forced into throwing situations. Also will be interesting to see how he can lead a 2 minute offense in crunch time when it is needed. Those are still unknowns.

Good points on how he'll play in late in tight games. However, the last 3 weeks every time the other team took a lead in the second half he led the team right back down and reclaimed it.

He was changing last year. Lots of shotgun and pistol formations. Having a mobile QB adds things that we just have not had in 4 years.

Maybe so, but I'm referring to the last three games.  Taking the reins off of QF is still a pretty recent thing and it's paid dividends.

Yes. He has let Q go a little. Not sure if the training wheels are off completely but it has been good to see and has obviously paid dividends.

it's a shame Taggart never took the reins off White or Bench :stirpot:

Haha not true but good try ;) I never thought that CWT was restricting either of them to throw the ball like he did QF. Whether both of them got a fair shot though or whether the offense was well suited for them is another arguement :FIREdevil:

I think he did that time White scowled at him during the Tulsa game.

Q has demonstrated a feel for the game, so he's made it easy for coach to let go. If this were Eveld or even White, I don't think he'd be giving as much slack on the leash.

One thing is clear to me, though, CWT was right about seeing something special in Flowers. It just took a while and some faith to get it to manifest on the field.
