  1. Not only did they lose an NBA-caliber player, but I would say that they lost at least 2 NBA-caliber players in Goldin and Davis.
  2. One idea that I would be excited about would be the NCAA holding an all-star tournament after the NCAA tournament. This tournament would be a group of all stars from each conference. 12 or 13 players from each conference would be selected by their conferences. Each squad would be coached by the conference's coach of the year. Then each conference would be placed in a bracket based on their so-called ranking. I think that would be fun to watch and we would see a lot of lower ranked conferences pulling off some upsets. Would anyone else find that interesting?
  3. I miss the good ole days when there was no Internet or cell phones. Those days were fun! I was in college in the 80s, like some of you here. we did not have that technology then, but I am willing to bet that most of us would say that the 80s was the most fun decade of our lives. Today, people only seem to care about how they look, showing people how they look or where they are, and having fake friends. I don't understand why you would want to get dolled up to play a sport where you get all sweaty and are pulling, shoving, and being rough with other players. I think if the Internet and cell service were to shut down for several months, the population would drop by perhaps more than a billion people.
  4. For me, she looked like she was more interested in being at a glamor shoot than at being on a basketball court. I saw her playing with long nails once. And every time she fell down, it took like 5 seconds to get back up.
  5. Sorry, I meant to write Placer and CY are ASUN players.
  6. Your argument is the same one I was fighting against last year with Pryor, Placer, and Cy. Pryor and Placer are JUCO players; CY is ASUN player. No way they are going to be good at this level, the naysayers said.
  7. Well, when I showed highlights of CY last year, some people said it was against inferior talent in the ASUN. Evaluate the skills in those highlights. Do you see someone with elite ball-handling skills, for example? You can evaluate someone's talent just by watching them dribble and shoot around by themselves.
  8. This would be a huge get as well! Did we offer him? He is very skilled and has awesome stats to back it up. FG% = 54% 2FG% = 59% 3P% = 42% FT% = 75% Like Williams, very impressive numbers, especially that 2FG%.
  9. I think Dave was the first person to mention how good he is. And I think he will make fans forget CY. Williams' ability to score in the paint exceeds CYs.
  10. And that is difference between other people and me. I don't care what others want or do. I do my own evaluation, as CAAR suggests coaches do.
  11. I know that some of you will say, there goes Pancho again with his crazy talk. But I am going to say it anyway. I am happier with Jimmie Williams than with Karter Knox. All the highlights that I have seen of Karter show an athletic freak. Not that he does not have elite skill, but the videos don't highlight his skills. They show him leaping high to block shots and dunk. In Jimmie Williams' highlights, I see skill. I can see he has elite quickness, elite quickness that helps him create his shots, elite ball-handling, and an elite repertoire of moves to score. I don't see any of that in Knox's videos. So, I decided to compare stats and the following is what I found: Some have posted Williams' stats before, but I post again to compare to Knox's. FG%: Williams = 54%, Knox = 44% 2FG%: Williams = 61%, Knox = 53% 3P%: Williams = 37%, Knox = 34% FT%: Williams = 74%, Knox = 63% So, in all of those offensive categories, Williams exceeds Knox by a good margin. Here is the link for Knox's stats: Karter Knox | OTE OVERTIMEELITE.COM Karter Knox is a 6'6” forward from Riverview, Florida. He currently plays for the RWE.
  12. I understand what you are saying. I remember being excited about watching Bo Zeigler's highlights. But after he started playing here, I realized he couldn't shoot at all. And that's why I now compare highlights to their stats. For example, I was not excited by Chaplin and Caleb Murphy. Both could jump through the roof and were extremely quick, but they were lousy shooters. I know what Jennings brings from history. I saw Williams' stats before I saw any highlights. I questioned whether he had the skills to duplicate it at this level. All I needed to see was the first play from the highlight that Dave posted to say, oh yeah, this guy has it. And again, 61% 2FG%!!! That is unheard of for a guard, even at that level. As for CJ Brown, the highlights are amazing but I have difficulty finding stats. I think I found something months ago that showed his 3pt% around 25%; but I can't seem to find it now. I saw an interview with him recently where he said that his shooting it the part of his game that he continues to work on and wants to improve. But he is extremely quick and can get by guys to get to the rim to score; so, I like that.
  13. Did you see Jimmie Williams' highlights? He is quicker than Miguel. So is CJ Brown. Reynolds can also hit the 3; his career % is better than Pryor's, albeit a smaller sample size. Jennings is also quick with a high 3pt%. I am not concerned with this roster. Also, we were largely dependent on outside shooting last year. I think we have much better inside scoring this year.
