Gainesville is just like Brooksville except for having the big state university.  If the University of Florida shut down, all the buildings and apartments in Gainesville would be used as chicken coop egg ranches.  It is quite a cultural shock to new students arriving in Gainesville first visit coming from metros like Tampa, Orlando, Dade/Broward, NYC!  Gainesville is okay, but it isn't any thing special.

Biggest thing going in Gainesville are the hospitals there.

Tom Petty told a great story in his final tour about his first meeting with Mike Campbell about Campbell's suspicious house and disgressed about "It was Gainesville and rents were low so suspicious was normal but this place was really suspicious looking."

Im from Miami and went to UF. Its not a big major city, but its a decent place to raise a family. Ive met many awesome people there. Its still part of Florida which has better weather so it has that advantage over Eugene lol

https://olemiss.rivals.com/news/deep-dive-industry-insiders-discuss-ole-miss-coaching-search

Article talks about a lot of potential coaches but they did talk about Strong. It almost seems like there will be so many openings in the off season that someone may take a flyer on Strong like Arkansas or Ole Miss.

I’d take the buyout.

I'd rather go ahead and pull off the band aid now

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
