Don't hire someone from a mediocre bball school like our previous hire and I also believe whoever hired Woolard should be fired as well. BREAKING NEWS -- Tampa, FL - More changes at the Lee Roy Selmon center. Sanitation workers were seen wheeling a dartboard out of the athletics building. Early reports indicate that the decision to hire Woolard was made by throwing a dart at a list of potential candidates. "Please insert quarters to play," the dartboard was quoted as saying shortly before power was disconnected. It had been an employee at USF since 2001. Classified as an Assistant Associate Athletic Director, the Shelti Eye 2 system had a contract through 2017 to receive $170,000 per year and was involved in numerous important decisions in the athletic department. "We thank Shelti for his contributions to the USF community," said USF President Judy Genshaft "however, we've decided to go in another direction." A decision has not yet been made on Shelti's replacement but rumors of early frontrunners include the Magic 8 Ball as well as a Ouija board.

If there is a chance to get in the B12, you have to hire someone with B12 ties. Someone that the other ADs and Presidents know and respect. Higgins doesn't sound like a bad choice from a "getting the job done" standpoint, but, does he have the political ties in the NCAA to help us improve our standing? I have full confidence that he can win over anyone he meets. He may not have the ties right now, but I know that he can gain them. No one would work harder than he would. Deputy Athletic Director, Baylor. Responsibilities include all finance and administration duties, AAD at Northeastern University where he was responsible for all 19 sports programs. Experience has been involved in developing competitive programs and increased the annual budget from $22 million in 2004 to $73 million in 2013. This is the type of person we should be looking at. What we DON'T need is a finance and administrative wonk, we have one of those already in Craig Angelos!! What we DO need is a dynamic (i.e. dynamo/kid dynomite) leader of USF athletics. We need someone from a P5 school with connections that can grease the wheels to get USF a seat at the big boy table.
