Best bet is to hire the assistant at a school that has turned athletic program around...like Baylor or from a big time program. Somebody with good football experience.

Somebody with b12 connections is a big plus.

Is it a coincidence that Higgins was made Executive Director of the Tampa Bay Sports commission in June 2004, not long after Woolard got the AD job? He could surely recapture the success we've lost.

Seems to me he could probably put together a pretty **** compelling slideshow about why inviting USF to a P5 conference is a good move. If you can lure hockey championships to west-central Florida, you can probably sell ice to Eskimos. We desperately need someone who can do that given the state of our athletics department at the moment.

USF needs a proven leader and someone respect respected in P5 circles. Has to be innovative and a go getter. And able to find the best coaching talent USF can afford. How about looking at getting on of the new P5 ADs? Or one of the ADs from one of the new SEC teams? I think this next AD is going to be the one that seals USF's fate for a long time in regards to staying a mid-major on the outside of getting another shot at the big time.

Think USF Medical School can resuscitate Mal Moore?

Someone with insider status at a b12 school would be good. I don't have any names but maybe one of the senior associate ad's at one of the major b12 programs.

Definitely not someone like you, a comic wannabe. Just glancing at your last few posts, which have brought up two recruits not going to USF, sub sauce, USF being at the bottom and a meme photo, you're a perfect candidate for ignore. Congrats! You did something productive today, stopped wasting my time reading your replies.

Any takers on my bet that our next AD is no one mentioned in this thread so far?
