It isn't karma, it's incompetence.   We had swagger and a reason to be cocky back then.  We were dominating, our coach had blue print and the passion to make it happen.   We decided to to can him because our administration didn't like the idea of having such a presence in the athletic department

What he said is basically this story is not over. Hell, even the Iowa State AD said this is not over, in more political terms. 

Can we pull ourselves out of the pity party and realize that we still control our own destiny?

No upvotes but I agree that it isn't "over" but we need the people that have control to step up and get it right.  Maybe the IPF finally getting built is a step in the right direction.  Maybe there are some things going on behind the scenes to help us move forward.  The hiring of the president is extremely important at this point

I wonder if anyone else remembers that or could link to a quote.  Being smart enough not to want to play them (like @puc86, et al) does not make him cocky.  He was striving for USF's ascension, not UCF's.  I don't remember him saying anything about them really, but maybe I've just forgotten.  Please provide.
