Puckles? Anyway the value of a traditional land grant university isn’t in the market it is in but in the alumni that go to live in major metropolitan areas and create eyes and fans in those markets particularly concentrated in the areas that surround them. IE Gainesville not such a big market yet Florida has a greater market share in tampa and orlando than either AAC team. Cincinnati has more Ohio State fans than Cincinnati fans and so on and so forth. No one is going to seriously argue that anyone in the AAC has more fans or eyes than OSU, WVU, KU or any of the others. It’s just not a serious argument that anyone actually believes.

Super disappointed you don't like Puckles!!! I very much disagree that Iowa State, Baylor, and Kansas State have more fans or alumni than Cincinnati. Additionally, the endowments from such esteemed institutions such as West Virginia are embarrassingly low (and lower than USF's) which do not suggest material alumni support or "invested eyes". I did not say all of them, I said some of them. And I stand by that.

What is this you speak of? Sounds like sorcery to me.

I'd be happy if the Big 12 took C. and not us as long as the ACC is still open. That scenario keeps WVU away from the ACC, and makes USF the best available option when they bring in Notre Dame as a full member.

Absolutely, because if the Big 12 only take 12, there is no way they survive long term. 12 is a near sighted, knee jerk move. If they want to stay as a competitive conference long term that move to 14 or 16 because that is where it is heading.

Acc is not taking us unless fsu or Miami leave. Our best bet is the big10 as we have the academic background most appealing to them and we are in a big market in a state the big10 has been wanting to get into for years. We just need to get the football team in the right direction along with men’s basketball

*IF* this ever happened, I would be ecstatic and go to all road games.
