+1

my point.

I have never seen a bunch of more pathetic, meek, apologetic group of twinks in my life.

Send me your addresses and I’ll quick shipping you apologists a UCF jersey.

We have been at this for years.  For those wondering the how, why, and what reasons of ucf being all over the expansion news and not us... you simply have not been paying attention or you are being intentionally dense.  Number one, they have been winning (and winning when it matters) and we have not.  Number two, they have built facilities and we have not (not even going to go into the cultural and fan interaction benefits that an OCS would have done for us the past decade).  Number three, look at the donor base (embarrassing).  Number four, the coaching hires were just bad luck, but while we were firing coaches, ucf's coaches were leaving for better jobs.  Number four, attendance, again embarrassing and the reasons don't matter, because it is what it is and it has been what it is for a long time.  Number five, our administration could never produce the vision that was happening to the East and in all honesty, I blame them the most.  Judy, Woolard, Harlan, just bad decision after bad decision.

Dense, trolling or homerism.

Thanks for the serious reply B-  is there then objective evidence of UCF generating more ‘money and TV viewership’ or is conjecture?

Thanks Foot for the serious reply minus the snideness this board has developed a reputation for.

I can’t imagine any program not seeing a surge in revenue in years their football team has successes.  I would be more interested in seeing program numbers in years teams are lackluster.  This would be a better metric for long term success for inviting a team into a conference in my mind considering there is only one winner of it all each year.

You should dig those numbers up for us.

I agree, but I think perception is reality today. B12 will be looking for teams that will help them keep their value up in the short term for contract reasons. The view of 10-50 years from now means nothing, it’s all about survival at the moment. Unfortunately UCF is at the right spot at the right time. As was said before, once we got into the Big East, we should have invested big into football with the IPF and OCS, but the Admin sat on their hands thinking their job was done and we are being punished for it. In terms of further expansion, the opportunities for a lower conference team jumping up is over; it’s headed to 4 power conferences and that’s it. I would bet on 4 - 16 team conferences and it won’t include USF or UCF; Florida, FSU and Miami will ensure that. It was a good ride while it lasted, but if we don’t make it to the B12, we need to focus on basketball.

Thanks, I am not bright enough or a witty enough writer ti be snide, Trip still thinks that I am a sleeper cell.

My research is over for the night. I get up at 4:45 each day, get our 3 Dalmatians up, get them out, feed them, have some play time, put them back to bed so I can attend a 6:00 Cross fit class ( at stinking 62!), home by 7:10, get them back up, out for another walk, back home, shower, to work to run a healthcare business and everything Covid Variant, by 9:00. LIkr she said in Blazing Saddkes, "I'm so tired"!
