  1. Remarkable how UNCC can get a high resolution rendering for a 3k seat upgrade and we wait 3 months to get a low resolution 'update' with brighter (daylight) colors.
  2. Yes I did...and just read it again. Maybe I am missing something?
  3. If this is the 'detailed' renderings promised in April...then this is a let down. How is there no hype video? Every new stadium has a hype video.
  4. No, its not. You are describing the gameday experience which certainly could include elements of the stadium but definitionally not the uniqueness of the stadium. To be fair, the stadium seems wonderful. It just is not unique.
  5. Perhaps we have different interpretations of the word 'unique'. Having the team's logo on the side of the stadium (hence the bullhorns) I would think is common but if you are saying that because the bullhorns are not on every stadium then that makes it unique...I guess you are sort of right? If you think the Heptagon shape is somehow special, I honestly don't know what to tell you. I suppose its unique in the sense that midgets are short? To be clear, it's a lovely looking stadium. It is just simply not unique.
  6. Have you seen these MLS stadiums? I would love to have an MLS stadium.
  7. I can't imagine anyone wanting any of the Adidas gear...the days of UA seem so long ago. So sad. However, at the bookstore, there are some decent Peter Millar and Johnnie-O items.
  8. Always a big fan of recruits with a hairy belly. Seems like a sign of a real man...sadly, after 40 years I have yet to sprout my first belly hair. Hopefully 2024 is our year!
  9. But only if it smelled funny...money (in my experience) does not smell funny. Maybe some of the one's laying around Mons or Odyssey, but sadly I do not have much recent first hand knowledge.
  10. If 1990s Carmen Elektra was willing to blow my (mind) but the cost was $340M, I'm certain it would bring me joy (assuming I had $340M). If 2023 Carmen Elektra made the same offer, I can't say I would have the same level of joy (and wouldn't spend the money). Similarly, if TQL Stadium (1990s Carmen Elektra) was going down on campus for $340M then I would have all sorts of joy. Unfortunately, I am looking at 3 conspicuous heptagons masquerading as a 1990s Carmen Elektra. TQL Stadium TQLSTADIUM.COM
  11. I can definitely help you spend that inheritance!
  12. As a follow-up, the heptagon is: The heptagon is a symbol of balance. The only geometric shape which cannot be bisected by a whole number, the heptagon embodies the day God rested, the seven colors of the rainbow, and represents feeling and instincts including love. The heptagon also relates to the seven chakras of the body. These nodes of energy when in balance can assist in healing and conscious well-being. It is a symbol of inward containment and the union of the spiritual triangle with the four elements. Closely related is the heptagram or seven-pointed star, a sacred symbol in Wiccan tradition. So maybe not bad?
  13. I have to be honest, this has completely ruined my day. I am very sad. This is so uninspired, so basic...it looks like it was designed by whoever designs all of the strip malls in Riverview. I am expecting a Mattress Firm and a Vape Shop to be in it somewhere, along with traffic lights every 100 feet around it. Left side of rendering 1. Are we serious with these exposed metal poles underneath this misshapen heptagon? 2. Are we serious with this heptagon??? 3. This building underneath the heptagon...just a gorgeous flat roof? What are we doing with all of this wide open space? Can't turn it into some kind of concessions or literally anything at all? Right Side of rendering 1. These bullhorns look like an accident. Again, this super bizarre heptagon appears. The bullhorns could theoretically come out of the heptagon, but that would make the heptagon make sense so I assume that's just completely out of the question. 2. Why is there so much seating in the end zone relative to the home side? Who likes to sit in the end zone? Why not significantly heighten the away side...higher sides = louder stadium (see Seattle Seahawks). 3. This heptagon extends so high and it looks like the stairs start at the bottom...maybe a mistake? No way that works with code. Exterior 1. Away side - these appear to be metal columns holding up the 'all concrete' structure. And this is how we walk in! Welcome to your stadium, don't walk into the giant metal post. 2. It really only looks like you can enter from 2 different directions, through 2 sides. How does that work? 3. Let's say theoretically one day we are doing to add shade...how does that even kind of work? Except for that one rendering someone shared of a potential sail thing, no idea how this works. What happened to the conversation about these beautiful new soccer stadium designs? Specifically, TQL in Cincy was brought up and was built for significantly less (though a much smaller capacity). I suppose any stadium is better than no stadium, but the plan was to make a stadium that was special. You could pick this up and drop it on any campus in the country and it would fit. You hold back renderings for months, the expectations are bound to increase. Well mine increased. I knew there would be no shade but I had definitely been led to believe there would be elements that would make this unmistakably ours (not just a part of horns popping up out of one end zone opposite the illuminati heptagon). Unless we are somehow incorporating heptagons into everything going forward, I don't get it? By the way, it looks like the actually footprint is a heptagon. Why is that? What is the deal with these heptagons? It's a 7-pointed shape...I think the illuminati work with these sorts of things. There are 3 of these heptagons...what does it mean?
  14. Ugh what are these weird shapes everywhere. I am disappointed.
  15. I will be shocked if we do not end up against UCF.
  16. It must have been a real tragedy to not be able to get such an amazing bucket hat.
  17. I am aware...I'm telling you there won't be shaded sides. It is not an opinion.
  18. There won't be shade...costs would be ~$50M more just to shade one side.
  19. As a reminder, we still do not have the new stadium built and we have only had the IPF for a handful of months. It was made very clear that without both of these, we will not be competitive. Let's just all relax.
