just for his recruiting connections alone

Yup. Disparage the coach who literally spent two offseasons studying at the foot of legends to create his own offense to cater to the player(s) he was recruiting.

Mack, Flowers, Adams.... dynamic. All the same class.

Had athletes at FSU and it looked really bad ?

Fisher was 6-6 his last year, Taggart was 5-7 in his first year and installing new systems. I don’t think FSU was as stacked talent wise as usual when Taggart arrived.

I think Taggart had them on track but their fans and boosters are too impatient. FSU was very close to being 7-5 or 8-4 this year. But apparently the team did look a little aloof at times, like we did against UCF.

All FSU needs is a bit better QB and Taggart would have them competitive for their division in my opinion. Flowers was a lot better than most QBs around the country, just like the QB on all great teams. See Clemson and LSU, top QBs. No one wins without a great QB.

I don't give a dam what he did at FSU or Oregon.  HERE he did good work.

Number one thing we need in a coach is a solid recruiter cause in the end no matter how great your system is if you dont have solid talent your going to struggle as a team.  After that a coach that can further develop that talent.

Hopefully our defense will be ok and Strong left that in semi decent shape.

But offense was very much neglected while Strong was here outside a few transfers and Ford.

A lot of FSU armchairs are quick to spout Jimbo left the cupboards bare, especially at QB and then they tried to rely on that one ND transfer who didn't pan out. Most FSU fans as usual were delusional and spoiled to want Taggart out so quick when some of them who knew what he walked into wasn't going to be pretty, and Taggart absolutely was the someone who knows how to turn it around - doesn't mean Taggart was meant to be there more than 3-4 years but they probably would've been 6-6 this year if they hadn't fired him yet. They'll be in for a surprise when they don't go 11-1 next year lol

Umm what?

58 % completion 11 TDs  13 INTs

59% completion 14 TDs 14 INTs

55% completion 12TDs 8 INTs

2 of those years are for sophomores. the other is Mccloud's year this year.

I'm not saying he is a world beater or even that he is better than either of those guys but for a freshman year it wasn't exactly Matt Floyd like

Will that be because of the players left behind by Tags?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
