A lot of FSU armchairs are quick to spout Jimbo left the cupboards bare, especially at QB and then they tried to rely on that one ND transfer who didn't pan out. Most FSU fans as usual were delusional and spoiled to want Taggart out so quick when some of them who knew what he walked into wasn't going to be pretty, and Taggart absolutely was the someone who knows how to turn it around - doesn't mean Taggart was meant to be there more than 3-4 years but they probably would've been 6-6 this year if they hadn't fired him yet. They'll be in for a surprise when they don't go 11-1 next year lol

hilarious that they fired him early and now will end up "settling" for Norvell. their fans actually thought they were going to get bob stoops.....lol

Will that be because of the players left behind by Tags?

he had 1 recruiting class. you're smart enough to know that isn't going to stack a roster

i got what you were putting down lol

but it's funny the fsu folks online are preaching similar to us "don't complain about the coach and then when he gets fired, complain the recruits are all leaving too".

2 of those years are for sophomores. the other is Mccloud's year this year.

I'm not saying he is a world beater or even that he is better than either of those guys but for a freshman year it wasn't exactly Matt Floyd like

I guess BJ is similar, but Grothe threw the ball way more than McCloud and he also had Ford to punch in a ton of TDs.

BJ vs JM is interesting. BJ vs Big East is a much tougher task than JM vs AAC.

I think we would need to crunch the numbers on the schedule. This years USF schedule was pretty tough as we played five teams that were ranked. I don’t believe that has ever happened before.

I'm not sure I buy the nonsense of "lose to anyone any given week"... Leavitt NEVER lost to a team as bad as UConn this year after we moved into the BE. I think there was a bad Army loss in there, but, in a transition year.

In 2006, our worst loss was to a 6-6 Kansas team. Cincy was second with 5 losses, 4 of which were to ranked teams

In 2007, all 4 of our losses were to teams ranked inside the top-20 at some point in the season. The regular season losses were all single-digit losses.

In 2008, we lost to UL (5-7), bad loss. Other losses were to teams that were 8-5 or better

In 2009, we lost to 3 ranked teams, an 8-5 UConn, and 9-4 Rutgers

Then don't buy it.

I think you made my case nicely anyway.

I think the BE got more respect nationally but we are still in the 6th best conference. it's just that the top of the old BE are now the bottom of their new conferences.
