I meant our history with people that were going to miracle us to a pro style offense, I completely accept that KB is a nice little DIIII coach.

He runs a spread offense. Doesn’t get under center and Qb ran the ball for over 800 yards and and 11 tds last year. Also has  RPOs (run pass option) in the run game. = spread offense

I believe they just didn't renew him. If I understand correctly, KB didn't want to leave.

There was a disagreement about him wanting them to spend more money on football, grow the program and JU wanting to go in the opposite direction and cut costs.

Dang feels like he would do a great job at raising money and building a program here! Isn’t that what we want. Someone that can recruit Florida and has a vision for the program?

How do you figure? Their offense is built around having a QB that can be a factor in the run game. Of course, if you have Trevor Lawerence, you aren’t going to run him 30+ times a game, but I don’t think we will have to worry about that much.

Rushing stats since Tony Elliott took over the Clemson offense in 2015  -

2015:

Wayne Gallman 282 Att,

Deshaun Watson 207 Att

2016:

Gallman 232 Att 4

Watson 165 Att

2017:

Kelly Bryant 192 Att

Travis Etienne 107 Att

Tavien Feaster 107 Att

2018:

Etienne 204 Att

Feaster 78 Att

Lawerence 60 Att

2019:

Etienne 168 Att

Lawerence 71 Att (7 rushing TD’s)

They have really good players. Those stats look like Bell’s stats at Valdosta State.

He runs an abortion of an offense that marries pro style and the fun n gun offense Spurrier abandoned, it has as much to do with the spread as we know it as the triple option does. The problem is it requires better blocking and bigger lineman than we can get here, which is proven every single time someone is going to come here and bring those guys in.

If he is named coach we may have to also look at going non scholarship, his offense cleared the stands no one is writing checks to watch him continue to embarrass the program with his offensive offense.

Just because someone else hasn’t recruited good lineman doesn’t mean Bell can’t. Since Bell has got here USF has offered a lot of juco lineman. And if you watch film of the lineman committed they are more athletic than just big slow guys like we have now. Some how he got a good enough offensive line at Valdosta state. How did that work ?

think again

But if these are the waning moments of a brief Bell era, the legendary former Gators quarterback is falling on his figurative sword. Which is to say, his faith in his pro-style offense remains sturdy as ever.

Because you are watching film of DIIII players against other DIIIII players and maybe just maybe it is easier to recruit decent DIIIII lineman to Valdosta than it is to recruit them to USF when they all go to the Big 10, SEC etc. The spread was invented because schools like USF cannot get the lineman needed to run pro style blocking.

because he played against div 2 competition and the coach before him ran a similar offense and won 2 national championships. they are like the alabama of div 2.

Ya but what does that guy know about his offense? Remember that's the same guy that said this offense with these players was going to score early and often.
