I think of all of that but I also think of this: Rutgers and Uconn...😭

That Rutgers game was just stolen from us, and we committed 8! turnovers in the Cincy game.

Regardless, the good news is he wouldn't have to worry about Rutgers or Uconn 😂

I believe we have discussed what would have happened had Jim Leavitt not been fired due to the Joel Miller incident.

Judy and Doug would have fired Jim for something else. Probably just for unmet expectations and he would have coached here another 1-3 seasons and would have gotten a buy out and sent on his way.

In 2010 Jim had 5 years left on his contract. Woolard was here till 2015 also. They were not going to co-exist that long.

USF continued to ignore athletics. Jim would have been expected to do more with less. The media (ESPN, McMustache, Duemig) would have continued to attack Jim incessantly. Do you think Jim would have lasted much longer?

In hindsight it is easy to realize we had it much better with him than without him but as the Cinderella songs says "Don't know what you got, till it's gone".

Just for context....https://www.espn.com/college-football/news/story?id=4815717

Do you know why there was heartbreak? Because there was hope, expectations, and something real to play for.

Exactly ....... but the something real you're referring to is not coming back with CJL.

I sort of Marvel how nuclear this board would go if Bell was named head coach.

This is the best of times when it seems like anything is possible and we can get any coach we want.  Reality will hit us next week when a decision is made and we'll be back to complaining.
