Why we have never been to a conference championship or won a conference championship. Because if play ground offense.

you didn't watch us much then because some of those play designs were brilliant.

Bell couldn't get an offense to score 18 ppg.

we broke all sorts of records on offense under Taggart. it's why many of our conference mates copied it.

It actually used a lot of schemes designed to freeze the defense to allow the ball carrier to get an extra step on the defense.

2 and 3 RB sets, pre-snap motions, it kept the defense flat footed just long enough to get those big gains. Helps Mack and Flowers were elusive athletes, but it played to their strengths.

absolutely. big part of it was using the read option to freeze linebackers and safeties.

Yup. Disparage the coach who literally spent two offseasons studying at the foot of legends to create his own offense to cater to the player(s) he was recruiting.

Mack, Flowers, Adams.... dynamic. All the same class.

USF ran read option a lot this year a lot of different ways. They just don’t have Q and Mack.

no they didn't.usually a straight QB draw. they broke it out once in a blue moon. they ran more 7 step drops than anything
