If not as HC he make a heck of a DC here which might be the safer play.

Most definately as DC but would he be willing to do that....nah dont think he would.  Its either HC here or nothing for him.....It definately would make things interesting around here tho.

The bottom line is this, if the boosters are calling for the rehire of Leavitt I believe MK will take a long look at making that happen. At the end of the day, USF needs more support and rehiring Leavitt may bring that.

You have to think, that much like the posters here that advocated sacking Leavitt are gone.  GONE.

People who had been fans for years, bailed out after the firing of Leaviit because of his firing.  Find a way to correct that.

There is a reason, we soiled his name and now we have an opportunity to fix it

Come on now, maybe early on.  People have been rehired with much more baggage than CJL.  Nah I dont buy that argument.

More coaches get hired with far worse resumes than CJL than get hired with more baggage. He has been nothing but successful and loved everywhere he has coached.

So schools are ok with him being the DC hence in charge of the defensive side of the players but because of his baggage cant be H C?

That makes no sense.  If he impressed people enough he would have gotten a HC job by now....there are alot of schools out there and alot run by people with questionable values.

No I dont buy that we soiled his name so bad thats the only reason he has not gotten an HC offer.....still dont buy it.

Exactly.  I am a Raiders fan, I was one of the few fans who did not want Jon Gruden back, and as I type this the Raiders are down 38-3 to the Chiefs after getting hammered 34-3 to the hapless Jets last week.  You can't go home again, retreads are not the answer!!

Dude, Gruden has the Raiders at 6-6 still in a wildcard hunt. I would love that as a Dolphins fan.

I'd show up to campus and cheer him on his first day.  Last time I did that we beat WVU on the road.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
