Agreed but if we had Texas, Oklahoma, Baylor, TCU, OSU and even the rest visiting every week we would garner a lot more interest.  There would also be a rivalry between FSU and UF between those schools once they have a presence here - IMO.  Kind of a smack talk rivalry but all the same.

Very true, and I know a lot of Gators and Seminoles that tune into USF games when the "stakes are higher." Tampa pays attention on TV, we need to keep fostering and evolving our fan base.

IMO the biggest advantage to USF and/or UCF for the Big 12 is the Florida recruiting.

They already recruit here...

Agreed but imagine the impact being in the Big12 would have on OUR ability to recruit, and also UCF.  Right now we lose a lot of talent to the FSU/UF/Miami.  If those kids had a chance to play for a USF team that gets national exposure in the Big 12 it could be another key turning point for our program.  The Big12 would be getting a vastly improved product by taking us.

Of course, but they aren't going to add us just to dilute their talent pool. We have to bring something to the table.

What I see and hope for in the near future, as long as we can maintain our current trajectory in not only football, but in all sports is that we ultimately offer the complete package to a conference the way Louisville did.

Think about what we offer:

Top TV Market, fertile recruiting, strong and improving academics, top research Univetsity and improving, relatively new top notch BB facilities.

It is important that we maintain our success in all sports as we really offer a tremendously competitive package across the board. Think about it: perennially ranked teams in Soccer, Tennis (m and w), golf, softball. Ranked teams or tournament teams in baseball, ladies soccer and now ladies basketball. With the resurgence in football, the only program lacking now is mens basketball. Our athletic department as a whole really is pretty close to being an overall national powerhouse.

Not sure how many programs really offer as complete a package as we do.

Not really sure what much more can be done to warrant consideration for expansion. The fans will come as we win

Not sure how many programs that are still searching for a home really offer as complete a package as we do.

They recruit here but if they have a bigger presence on TV locally and can tell their prospects that their families can see them play in FL every year or so* (one year in Tampa and one in Orlando) it would be a big help for them.

Now if a Florida kid commits to a Texas school, his family may never see him play.

*depending how the scheduling works out.

big 12 would be best to take both Usf and ucf. Imagine the interest level if both schools are in the big 12 and have a chance to play for the big 12 title when they meet up around thanksgiving. A winner plays for the title scenario
