If the B12 is "forced" to expand then it's only a matter of time before Texas and Oklahoma bolt for either the B10 or PAC. Delaney is no fool. Under the B10 model for cable revenue getting into Texas is worth a bunch. Even with ESPN losing money. Delaney takes steps knowing it will likely force an expansion which Texas does not want and he sidles up and makes the play for them.

Yeah a ton of people I know are from Ohio and Michigan…no doubt we would pack the place with Big 10 teams easily.

ESPN is losing money? Maybe earning less EBITDA  than prior years of they were filing outside of their parent company but saying they are losing $ is kind of a stretch IMO. Texas runs that conference, make a trip to Austin. They are pretty vocal about it.

UCF and USF as a package just seems to make too much sense -- when USF decides that it wants to have awful and mediocre years, UCF is there to pick up the slack. When USF decides it wants to play football again, UCF is there to dig a giant hole, crawl in it, and roll around in broken glass while we all watch on thinking 'Man... UCF... that really looks like an awful idea... why are you doing this? So much blood.... '

This is like a mob war; different families are deciding the rules.

I think joining the Big12 would be huge for both schools. It could create an FSU-Miami type rivalry that they have been trying to keep us out of. The conference, money, TV, etc would be huge for the rivalry. We need a 'War on I-4' trophy ASAP.

We really need them to wait one more year before expanding, assuming this team lives up to potential next year.

Yep, as much as I hate it, I've changed my opinion over the past decade and I agree with this. We should call the AAC's official deacon of rivalry creators in Coach Bob Diaco at UCONN so that he can have a trophy made for us. Maybe he can meltdown that dumb Civil ConFLict one to use for raw materials.

Wins mean next to nothing. Ask Maryland and Rutgers. Its about TV sets and viewers. Yes, agreed that Houston has little to offer a Big 12 flooded state of Texas for the networks.

Respectfully, did you tell your little UCF buddies this same thing the last couple of years?
