^ Agreed. Bringing in a talented QB and seeing how he fits in doesn't really hurt, but it could help immensely. Bring in a couple talented guys a year and one is bound to work out eventually... what more can we really do in terms of developing depth and finding a starter at the QB position?

Fingers crossed! If he gets the waiver approved, that will just means we have another option at QB and it improves everything.

Football gods: you owe us!

Football gods already gave us Reilly Gibbons this year ... let's not be greedy.

Pro quarterbacks struggle with reads and a pass rush. Doesn't mean that they can't learn a playbook.

Josh Freeman can't learn a playbook. And he still put up stupid numbers at Kansas State.

And at The Bucs, he has around a dozen of their franchise records.

But they also spent the last 4 years taking a dump on us, so I think they still owe us one.

comparing a 3 year college qb and nfl player to a guy who hasn't taken a snap in 2 years in college is dumb.

Freeman didn't put up stupid numbers at K State anyway. less than 60% completion percentage and 44 TDs with 34 picks for 3 year career.

That's 43 more TDs than we've have the last 3 years... At least it feels like it

I wasn't comparing anyone. Someone quoted that Woulard has problems making the correct read and with the blitz and therefore can't grasp a playbook.

I was just stating that even pro qbs have problems making the right read and with pressure.

Shoot a guy that everyone knows can't grasp a playbook became an NFL starter.

Let's see what AW can do before we throw him in the fire.

Btw, I'll take this guy:

In his three year collegiate career, Freeman completed 680 passes for 8,078 yards and 44 touchdowns and 34 interceptions in 35 career games. He accumulated a school-record 8,427 total yards and joined Ell Roberson as the only quarterbacks in Kansas State history to score at least 60 touchdowns.

I don't think he has any years of eligibility left. Who's your next choice?
