Heck, might as well hire Seth Greenberg back. We may have been average, but we knew what we were getting game in and game out. Funny how both of Seth's predecessors have been canned after he left (makes you wonder if Seth was undervalued by the university - I know most USF fans hate him - now come with the pizza comments). Either way, Stan gave us a nice run for one season, but even I thought he would bring more to the table after his prior coaching stints. Shows what I know.

Ha, Greenie! There's a reason why he's staying on ESPN; it's the perfect job for him.

Louisville is making it to a P5, but we can still compare ourselves to them. We could have reached for Patrino.

Let's just hope CWT is the best choice.

All I need to say is Bobby Petrino (see his coaching record below). We went with Coach Taggart (this is the moment when Woolard should have been shitcanned). We missed out on Petrino and now we missed out on Pearl. People can clean their act up when they realize they're down to their last opportunity. Little 'ole Western Kentucky beat us on the Petrino hire in a landslide (even if they lost him to the 'Ville one season later). Wonder if they have any regrets? They got a heck've deal hiring Bobby (read the out clause). Now, we try to maintain a holier than thou attitude and the best honest to goodness coach on the market is swooped up by Auburn and we're wondering who we're going to hire next.

Want to see a university languish away in never never land and lose to schools like UCF... look below at who we didn't hire for who we did hire (and I'm hoping to God Taggart does something sooner than later).

Pearl was absolutely the right choice for this university and the perfect fit.  USF could redeem him and he could redeem USF, two for the price of one.  I certainly hope Taggart improves significantly this coming year.  If not, he is absolutely toast and he won't get the same thank you's and well wishes extended to Stan Heath.  "Time to Complete" not "Time to Compete". Competing is for those looking for a participation trophy and USF has way too many of those invisible trophies in our trophy case.

Bruce Peral is a scumbag. Auburn will be in for sanctions in about two or three years. The guy is a cheater end of story. Not anything this university wants to be known for. Tons of people wanting to jump on taggart with no reasoning behind it. Have you seen the talent on the line of play of our team? It was bad before he got here and we had some vets then. What did you expect? For USF to go 12-0 with one of the worst rosters in the conference?

USF could have had Petrino, but didn't go that route. I expect it won't do it again, not with Judy's experience with Leavitt, she won't risk another employee incident.

Stop with this drivel of blaming players.  We had much better players/athletes than McNeese St. and FIU and we had home field advantage.  He lost to both those dregs and set an NCAA Div 1 record in the process. THE ONLY THING USF is known for right now in athletics is being at the bottom of a mid-major conference in the revenue sports and exhibiting major suckage in said sports.  THAT is what we are known for and the reason that CWT is on a hot seat that will turn into a flaming briquette if he doesn't get it turned around next year.

P.S.  Auburn will be in the NIT, at a minimum, next year.  Where will USF be?

Hey - I'm pulling for Taggart. I just don't believe he was the best choice at the time. Matter of fact, I had Petrino as my favorite, followed by Calvin McGee. Coach Taggart wasn't off my radar - but I've sat in a meeting room with McGee. The guy knows X's and O's with the best of them. We made some fundamentally bad calls last season that made Holtz look like a saint at times - that's on coaching. That worries me. I don't doubt Taggart can relate to the players and will bring in talent. I think we might have the second coming of Ron Zook. I worry about Taggart's decision making ability in-game (and no, I'm not a coach). I have a good feel for the game though. Anyways... back on topic.

Two more hoops coaches from P5 conferences just got axed. Guess who just fell down the pecking order for choice destinations for future coaches - DRUMROLL please..... USF.

We should have rolled out a red carpet for Pearl and filled his contract with conduct clauses. Simple as that. His contract is public record - wouldn't that appease the religious police on here to see a contract full of good conduct clauses?
