So glad reality hit USF fans and that Pearl is gone. Now you can focus on who really has a chance to be the next USF coach. It was not the BBQ. It was him telling players and parents to lie to cover up to what then was a violation. It was him and his staff making phone calls that violated NCAA rules that got him fired. So the guy is a cheat to win type. That has already been proven. And no way, USF lets someone coach here with a past like that. Just the way it, sorry.

Congrats to Auburn for stepping out aggressively and getting BY FAR the best coach that will be available. Now those who wait like USF is now in the hire and hope mode. The sure thing is gone.

No doubt Pearl can do and would do that. Pearl would have USF ranked in the top 25 his 1st season. He's that **** good of a head coach and an incredible salesman

Guy looks & talks like a d-bag.  Don't think I'd be thrilled watching him pace the sidelines.  There must be plenty of young, smart up & comers.

This shows up & buys pizzas, then says, "Look at my contract. Those numbers mean Auburn is serious".  Sometimes you DON'T get what you pay for.  Better Auburn than us.

That's a steal.

Thankfully it's lower than I expected. Even though USF didn't get him, his salary sets the tone for the coaching carousel free agency period.

Had Auburn or Pearl waited, they would have paid more.

We will drop more than $2M.  Get with the program Joe, you're stuck in the Doug & Judy time warp of pay small, get small crowds, get small # of wins, get small expectations and reward those small expectations. It ain't happening that way again!!
