We got a good coach now, I want to say better than we deserve based on our fanbase and probably won't last long because of it.

Congrats to Auburn for stepping out aggressively and getting BY FAR the best coach that will be available. Now those who wait like USF is now in the hire and hope mode. The sure thing is gone.

No doubt Pearl can do and would do that. Pearl would have USF ranked in the top 25 his 1st season. He's that **** good of a head coach and an incredible salesman

Let me make this clear, there is no better head coach for USF that's available then Bruce Pearl, nobody. There is Bruce Pearl and then the rest that includes Ben Howland, Manning, any other HC that is

I do like this guy and he has done a lot since his hire. Have to show patience with this team this year but I think they will show improvement as the season moves along.

13 scholarship players to start a season will be a big win in my book.

Yeah he has been incredible. Recruiting was suppose to be his weakness at GT, but he has turned that around here at USF and then some.

If we had Pearl and went back to the NCAAT even with a follow-up MBB problem it'd be better than the apathetic, non-existent fan base we have now for a largely winless team.

You guys overestimate how long it'll take for these programs and their fans to just forget about all this.

Do you think Penn St. would trade in Paterno to have avoided the situations that happened because of him? Did it really take that long to recover from it? If they never had him, would they even be relevant enough to have something to recover from? Same thing for UL, it's not like they'll lose sponsorship money from the past or conference revenue in the future. They'll be back competing for championships before we will be. In no small part because they've chosen to skirt the rules.

I'm proud our school has generally been on the up and up, but there are costs to it as well.

Facilities. But then we made a huge mistake after the no-degree dude; that guy probably would have done alright -if he had his degree at the time.

We probably regressed something five years, because it was worse than when Stan left. There were at least players at the time.

Now, we are starting year 1 with facilities AND all new players. Lots and lots of patience for the new staff.

But, hey, don't forget that men's bball makes money!

For the 1st time in years, I'm actually looking forward to USF hoops season. I like to see progress made and I believe Coach Gregory will do that for USF
