It’s very simple no decent OC is going to come here if a coach does not have three year window. The same is true for recruits after this year. I have supported CSJ through next year but looks like we all need to get on board for the next two at least. In terms of Gregory, terrible f’n decision but what done is done.

I'm okay with this. The portal is touted this year so next year should see immediate results if these portal kids are supposed to be plug and play. Make the best OC hire you can at this point.

Having the entire athletics coaching staffs (at least head coaches) locked up gives them some financial stability and if wins come, this is a genius move. If not, then well, no one will notice anyways and most of this forum will whine about it anyways.

Our last OC had 

- A reduced covid year in 2020

- Less than a full 'regular' year 2021

He didn't have two full years much less the 3 you're advocating.  So any OC knows what type of leash they are on if they come here...all this extension does is tell our coach we appreciate the job he has done so far which is 3 wins and the loss of both coordinators after 2 years.
