Everyone should consider how we felt when the Big East was expanding and they were looking at UCF.  The Big East was in desperation mode and we knew it so we acquiesced but the Big 12 is not in desperation mode.

I didn't really pay much attention around that time ... How did we feel around that time?  Did anyone think an extremely young program like what we had would get into a BCS conference back then?

Can someone ask him for a distributed/actual breakdown of all the B12 short list candidates?

Only reason to report this is to be a douche.

With that said, our attendance will only get better if we continue to win and also with no hurricanes off our coast.

I think this is a very valid point. We didn't want little brother being on equal ground. Do the other schools really want Houston being on equal footing only to further dilute the recruiting landscape while not bringing along much else.

I get the state politics in play with Texas wanting a Med school in Houston, but I see more of a dilutive effect.

I kind of wonder, considering how UT has been really struggling these last few years, if the Texas boosters and power brokers really feel about bringing Houston along.

In a Football crazy state like Texas, I can't imagine the people with real influence toward the UT administration is excited about letting UH further dilute the UT pipeline to Houston area talent.

I'm not sure why the TBT loves to mention butts in seats. UCiF claimed to have something like 38k for our game versus them last year when in reality it was more like 6k
