So that's probably the base if we try and go after a current lower HC. Scott is already making $1 million.

He interviewed for South Alabama 2 years ago. I think we could get him for $1.5M.

Elliott who is ahead of him at Clemson interviewed for UCF job. also showed interest in G Tech but wasn't hired

It wouldn't surprise me either way. I could definitely see Arkansas or Ole Miss trying to make a splash with him, but I could also see a lot of ADs not wanting to bother with someone so high risk.

What is Kiffin’s current high risk?

All that matters is winning championships, and Lane is about to go 2 for 3 in that regard.

Career rehabilitated.

One year later than this article. I'm all in on Lane, but he does have a few red flags.

Here's some Arkansas guys debating his hire.

Lane Kiffin is a man-child and until he matures, I think he's going to have a hard time moving up.

I don't think he would come here. probably realizes this isn't a quick fix. I think he can get a lower end P5 job anyway.

Lane would be gone after year one or two if he had success. I think he can get a better P5 offer that we can’t match.

With all the P5 openings, it would be an absolute steal if we ended up with Scott over Ole Miss, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Missouri, FSU...

Agreed, this would be the home run...I just can’t see him turning down those other schools and it has to be a high probability that at least one would make a run for him.

Which is why he should come here. A slight bump up the ladder to prove himself and we've gone the "grown man" route up to this point so maybe a man-child is the key ...

he isn't even the primary play caller. Tony Elliott will get a job before him and GTech and UCF have passed on him recently.
