No I can see that. But, as my prior comment was alluding to, money is money. Regardless, I am pretty sure it’s a moot point as I don’t see him being retained...especially if Kelly gets a coach who is more spread based offensively...which is what I am hoping for at least.

Sean King made $180k this year. Our WR coach made $250k in 2018

Maybe KB isn't really in it for the $?  Past evidence certainly could lend some credence to that POV.

Do you think it might be because they go back over 35 years to when Strong was a coach and Bell was a player at UF?  Maybe a mutual friendship might have something to do with it?

Of course it has something to do with it, it’s the only reason anyone finally decided to call him up to FBS. We now see why it hasn’t happened before.

why would you take a job where it was highly likely you would get fired after a year? especially if you were a HC that just won a national championship.

Considering the unique desires and motivations of any particular individual, that's a question you'll need to ask KB.
