Most of this discussion has been making the assumption of weed so I was making that same assumption.

Really, there's one person driving that bus.  His comments are just so absurd that it's difficult to ignore them. You're assuming that one this is why they are suspended and two that CCS is being pretty militant on the detection and enforcement.  We don't know any of that.  My point is that this guy is pissing and moaning because CCS is enforcing a rule (allegedly) that is in place at the highest level of the sport.

Ultimately, my point is that the problem isn't CCS enforcing rules, it's he has done a poor job as the HC of this team.

This thread was pretty great.  I knew from the OP that it would trigger Bull94.  Always great to see him septuple and octuple down on a point, but clearly weed is more precious to him than Bulls football.

actually what the players do in their own time is of no concern to me.

I'd guess many underage college players drink alcohol in their spare time. I couldn't care less.

I'm not living in the 50's and we are not BYU

And you're not the coach of a football team with rules that you expect your team to follow.

I think there still remains today an expectation of college coaches, much like high school coaches, that you will look out for the best interests of the young men you are entrusted with - whether they agree with it or not!

you are correct. I never said that he can't have whatever rules in place that he wants.

I only said that we will be at a competitive disadvantage and that it will hurt our depth and frontline starters quality.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
