Of course he did.  What else is he going to say?  But the bottom line is if Auburn beats Bama, but loses to UGA and Bama beats everyone but Auburn.  Both of those teams have a better resume than our 13-0 with that schedule.

Now maybe Kelly can sell it and politic us all the way to the CFP.  That's a big reason why he's here

He should schedule Bama to replace CMU.

Miami would be a great game to add to the slate. Local enough, P5 team, and beatable. I presume we would get paid, could still tailgate and contributes to a sos in a killer year for us. Now just to figure out how to get Miami to sign off on playing us.

Let’s not go crazy. One national champ on the schedule is plenty.

Yea, but you get quadruple votes if you beat both.

Pretty much.   College football from a playoff/championship stand point is a joke and always has been.  At least there is some sort of playoff now and by and large the "best" team in the country in probably in that final four, but it's ridiculous that half the teams in D-1 FBS start the season knowing they have no shot at the playoffs.

This. Many  delusional people on this board are talking about increasing our schedule strength in order to get to the playoffs. Playoffs are not going to happen. However I still would like a game against a big time program just for the enjoyment of watching the game.
