14.2.1.2 – Service Exceptions to the Five-Year Rule.

Time spent in the armed services, on official religious missions or with recognized foreign aid services of the U.S. government is excepted from the application of the five-year rule. Among such services that qualify a student-athlete for an extension of the five-year rule are: (Revised: 4/2/10)

(a) Military Sea Transport Service;

( Peace Corps; or

© Service as a conscientious objector ordered by the Selective Service Commission (or the equivalent authority in a foreign nation) in lieu of active military duty.

Now on the third page, I find it interesting baffling no one had an issue with the title including "Woulard" and "waver" in such close proximity.

If he has to sit and Flowers gets an unimpeded stranglehold on the position he will be kicking himself on this transfer.

If Flowers plays that well, that would be an awesome problem to have.

I guess we'll find out soon if it's granted or not...

One would think that this type of decision is based on a player qualifying for the waver under a specific rule, so it's not going to be, "Oh, please let me play! Please!"

 

And then I would think USF has to sign the documents, along with Woulard, which means USF feels that the request has merit.

 

Sooo... It's probably got a better chance than most of us give it. Fingers crossed!

We might have a fighting chance against FSU if he plays. 

 

 

There should be a rule that when your starting QB from the previous year transfers to another school, you can bring in an immediately eligible transferee.

He has never played 1 down of college ball and was falling on the depth chart at ucla, I'm curious as to what  makes you believe he will give us a fighting chance against fsu?  That perplexes me.
