  1. That's also in the 2015 football prospectus released by the school. Those are the actual words from it actually. Kinnan is full tim staff and senior offensive consultant. I don't think he'd come on board to have not say.... imho
  2. Hey... I checked out the offense from the spring and he'll actually be on the field a lot on 1st and second downs. The fullback is a H-back and subs in for one of the slots when they run. They also do the same with TEs... He'll see carries too. He runs too good not to. He just has to hold the ball this year. This isn't a passing spread... it's a run first spread. It's more Auburn than Mizzou I attended a few of the open spring practices and the final scrimmage and I remember seeing him of the field quite a bit. I'm not sure the spread we run is exactly like Auburns but they are pretty similar.
  3. V5 needs a new policy...protect readers from dreadful uncertainty until they can actually report something...clearly we deserve no protection from worthless noise... and they want to make that a paid site.
  4. I'm inclined to agree with you. I don't think it is that important of player. I think they would have said starter if it were a starter, so I honestly don't think it's like a Mack or Flowers because there is no doubt that voodoo5 would not have held it.
  5. Bethel isn't on the roster. It wouldnt' be him. He doesn't arrive on campus until next week so it would not be him.
  6. What is with this board and thinking this team is similar in talent or depth of roster to our team in 2009. I posted this somewhere else, but people forget that 2009 team had NFL talent all over the field specifically on defense. Nate Allen, Jason Pierre-Paul, George Selvie, Terrell McClain, Tyrone McKenzie, Jerome Murphy, Mistral Raymond, Kion Wilson, Jacquian Williams, etc. Then on offense we had BJ Daniels, Carlton Mitchell, Dontavia Bogan. In the AAC, develop your players and don't let coaching get in the way and you're bound to have a pretty good team. This team likely has better overall talent than that team but that team was peppered with experience, key talent, it had leaders, it had confidence because they had been there. This team is different, this team is building towards that. It is a team being constructed from scratch by a coach who didn't got trash from the previous coach. I dont think anyone thought so many guys from that team would be good but the individual talent statement is valid. That team was a better team in a system that had been here for years. Oh, Dontavia Bogan was not that good. I'm not sure where he became a USF great, but he was average. Mitchell was indeed better but do I think some of the young guys have more athletic ability and talent on the roster now? Yes. I loved the Leavitt teams but I'm not going to pretend they were super talented. They were just like the coach, gritty and mean on defense. Offense has always been a work in progress at USF. Wait a second... You're telling me that 2009 defense which I think just about every single player mentioned has not only played an NFL down, some been an NFL starter, or an NFL pro-bowler was not super TALENTED? Give me a break dude. Forgot to add Kayvon Webster and Sam Barrington to the list above. That's 11 players on that defense that have played in the NFL. Dontavia Bogan was not a USF great. He was a decent college football WR. He was good enough for an NFL team to take a look at him whether it was on the practice squad or not. Put it into perspective. We are talking about comparing the 2009 team to this one now. Bogan compared to what we've seen minus Andre Davis the last 2-3 years Bogan was fantastic. Helps a lot to have a QB like BJ Daniels who was super talented too. I'm certainly not claiming USF was ever the most talented team on the field or ever one of the most talented rosters in college football, but to think this team right now has more talent than our 2009 team is comical. If we have this conversation in 3 years and looking back and it makes sense fine, I'm willing to bet a lot of $ its not, but right now comparing what we have to previous collegiate all-americans and 5+ year NFL veterans is foolish especially coming off the last two seasons. I will say we have more talent at the RB position than we did in 2009. Our Oline is an absolute mess until it's not, and our offense in general is an absolute mess until it's not. Did you actually read my comment? It doesn't appear you did based on your response. You read a sentence or so and just put whatever you wanted to in your response whether I said it or not. And almost every single guy mentioned... you mean like 5... well yeah I'm saying that this team on a whole has more individual talent and is likely much deeper. This season will demonstrate that. I've loved the past USF teams, until Holtz, but I think our fans are misremembering and attributing super human qualities to those Leavitt teams.
  7. Doubt it is Flowers. My buddy said he saw him and a bunch of football players goofing off and having fun tonight. Doesn't sound like a guy who is in trouble.
  8. The way this story dropped reminds me of how my mother in law gives her family news. She calls to let you know something happened but tells you she has to call you back once she can say what it was. I always thought that to be an awkward practice and rather annoying. I also hoped it was only limited to her. Obviously it's not.

  10. I think it will be someone already suspended. Since the officially lifted the suspension of Nigel Harris, I'm going to say the DE Demetrius Hill has been officially kicked off the team.
  11. He has never played 1 down of college ball and was falling on the depth chart at ucla, I'm curious as to what makes you believe he will give us a fighting chance against fsu? That perplexes me. Have you watched any USF games the last few years? The QBs on our roster have been terrible, to say the least. For the last two years Woulard got to watch and work with one of the best QBs in college football. It is precisely because I have watched usf games that I'm curious as to why I believe he would give us a fighting chance against fsu? That has nothing to do with any qb on our roster. Woulard has done absolutely nothing to demonstrate to me that he can win a game against anyone. He's not shown anyone that since he's been in college. Our qbs aside, what makes you think he can play so good we give florida state a run? That literally has nothing to do with our current qbs. I'm asking specifically about Woulard who did not progress at all at ucla and didnt appear to learn very much from Hundley.

  14. I don't think anyone doubts Reiter is indeed a loss, what people question is whether Williams and Q were actual losses because they both had some horrible moments. Q had to be moved to Guard because he couldn't play tackle and Williams was just awful. If there were somebody better on the roster, don't you think they would have been playing? That's what's scary. Well no... The other guys were all really young. They were all freshman and I don't think we would have been better served playing one of those really young guys. That's how you ruin Tackles. Knox redshirted as he should and they kept Hall back until he got his weight under control. They have actually handled the offensive line pretty well considering what he had. I think the talent level has gone up with the guys coming in and the guys who weren't ready last season should be ready this season. If spring ball and summer workouts are any indication, those boys took the task to heart. Guys are looking great. Now lets see how they play now that they finally look the part.
  15. There is a ton of potential on the team. Perhaps as much as we've ever had in terms of individual talent. They just have to play as a team. Just go out out and play fast and hard but with discipline. I feel the key to this season will rest in Flowers ability to move the offense. If he can move the offense, everything changes. I also don't think we will know pretty early on in camp. If he has improved even more from spring ball, I'll feel better about our chances. I normally don't put any weight into games like FAMU, but given the past 4 years I'm going to base a lot of what I think Flowers can do based on that game.
