Kind of sounds like making future vacation plans in some destination and then waiting to see if they'll build a hotel I want to stay in....

That may be true, but we have an obligation to keep the fantasy alive. If we were to embrace the AAC as our home for, oh, let's just say the next quarter of a century, think of how many heads would explode. I think that if the University of Ohio can live in the MAC for over 75 years, USF should be able to reside in the AAC 150 years. We have twice the student population so this shouldn't be overly difficult. Go Team, Go!

They are honoring their contracts, just the outs portion which may not be the portion we were hoping for but it’s definitely a perfectly reasonable portion to use in any contract

What's the buyout amount in the contract?  That's the amount with no negotiation downward because the conference gives them "guidance".  And moving the existing contract for a game from 2025 to 2029 should only happen if the contract is amended for a much higher buyout.  No negotiation, the amounts are in the contracts.  It's amazing it's okay with the SEC (see Florida and Alabama) and Notre Dame, but the ACC is now all high and mighty??

This was inevitable. It’s another way of furthering the haves and have nots. Once the P5’s are not playing G5’s, there will be an amendment to the playoff rules and they will take into account rankings and strength of schedule and not just the top G5 champ, which will eliminate their bid since they don’t play any top teams. For everyone clamoring that the new playoff system makes being in the AAC is better than struggling in the B12, guess again.
