We better call in the big guns and bring back uconn 🙄

we will be fine. We just have to grab the best of the rest, which we should be able to. I don’t want a wholesale merger with the mwc. I think the we should cherry pick from a couple conferences to strengthen our hand

Idk about this info. It didn’t come from a Jedi

He was actually correct about the 4 that moved up a week before I saw it in the media…maybe a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then 😂

just as we gained entry into the watered down version of the Big East to garner "BCS" conference notoriety, we will eventually find our way into the Big 12. And without fail -- you can expect our new league to suddenly have a mass exit of the bigger teams to some other TRUE power 5 (4/3?) conference and the relegation yet again to the second tier BS division.

How many times will it take to realize that the old big teams are RIGGING this system to keep everyone but the select club OUT?

Regardless - nothing ANY of us can do about it. Kind of sad to even think about it.

Our identity was a giant killer from the beginning, and we will find our way back to that. Even if we never join the inner circle, if we live on forever as we did in the 2002-2007 era of exciting product, passionate, fun, and occasionally pisses off the bigger teams, I'll take it.

Keep in mind there are only truly 15 or so top teams in CFB. No one cares about Wake Forest or Washington State like Alabama and Clemson. We will never be "there", where it takes a century of tradition and success. So we should enjoy being the giant killer.

Bowlsby's a dope

Kind of argue with that ...... 20-24 teams, can you imagine what that would look like?

UH was ahead of realignment and invested ($300M) to get into a power conference.  I hope this recent kick in the balls gets USF thinking big and we get our on campus stadium as this is what it takes to play with the big boys.

Yep they stepped up with the oil money. What do we have? Money from the financial sector? Where is it going to come from (Newsflash it won’t come from alumni).

Enough excuses about why it can't be done.  Either make the commitment and get it done or go to playing FCS football or shut it down altogether

I think it's very interesting that originally it was referred to as Indoor Practice Facility now, Indoor Performance Center. That probably came when the mouthy ones at USF were put out that sports was getting something and they weren't.  Bend Bend Bend......people that bitched prob dont even go to football games. Hopefully, they will just get the thing built.

I listened to a recent podcast from the Bulluminati podcast. They had a few people on who used to be apart of the alumni group, setting stuff up and running some of the events.

Pretty much what it boiled down to was, they said that the school as a whole failed to engage students and get them to even be aware of our sporting events. On top of that, they didn’t put in the work to maintain relationships with donors, and essentially tried to “start from scratch” every year or so. Also it was mentioned that the university kept branding itself as the “University of the future” without any real future plans.

Sounds like our leadership has failed us the entire time, and had such a narrow focus, all they could see was “pre-eminence” and the money that came with it. They ignored literally everything else.
