QB Competition

My assumption is that they've already made a decision but they're keeping it quiet.  We all have seen how well McCloud has played with this offense so far.  I don't know if it's because he's more evasive or that he has a better rapport with the team but it also looks like the team plays harder when he's on the field.  Barnett couldn't make it past the 50 in the first game, McCloud could.  Barnett couldn't score a TD in the second game, McCloud could (and essentially scored 2).  There shouldn't be any more evidence needed for a "competition" but we'll see. I truly feel that the offense with McCloud in has the potential to be very good and there's no reason it shouldn't be getting better by the week.   

 

Edit: From what I'm hearing, don't hold your breath on McCloud getting the start.

I will feel terrible for him if he does. He will be mercilessly booed. Strong should have come out and backed him if that were going to be the case.

So here we go. Blake will barely beat SC state and because it’s the first win will be seen as progress. So we won’t see McCloud until 4th qtr of SMU and it will be too late. Sigh!!!!

After watching Bell's posted practice interview today it's going to be BB. Hope it's with a short leash.....

I said earlier here, or another thread, they put Barnett in and he will do well against SC State because his first read will have separation and that will be all CCS/CKB need as evidence and they will die on the BB hill for games after.
