Man, you need to work on making your posts readable.  Splitting up your post into several paragraphs would do wonders for me to give your post any attention at all.

Anyway, if you do end up right, feel free to brag all you want.  Poop will remain inside of me and not be given.

My only concern with BB is his limited time in the system. Take note of how many times you hear “2nd year in the system” followed by some form of “we are able to play faster now”. B.B. has had what, 2 months to learn the playbook? *insert HB dive joke*

Its obvious that he’s uber talented, but one has to wonder if there are some things that Gilbert might have to dial back if B.B. is indeed the starter early in the season.

This offense is simple because it only uses half the field. There are not that many plays and is predicated on pace. I think he would be fine because there will be lots of bombs downfield and run til you stop it.

I like the way you snuck in the assumption that Barnett will start.

He was not brought in to sit the bench. You don't take a guy who was in the running to start at Bama as a RS freshmen and a 5 star recruit and not give him a chance to start and play in G5. This kind of talent or potential is does not sign G5 out of high school... well maybe ED Oliver and very few others.

Herm has waaaaaaay more experience in football than Taggart, He was an NFL player, Assistant coach in college, coach two teams in the NFL and has been an analyst since then. When you are an analyst you "analyze" the game. I am sure he has studied everything he did wrong, worked with other great minds in the game of football and has been doing nothing but STUDYING the game since his coaching days. That is what an NFL analyst gets paid to do. I'm trying to understand how Lovie and Herm being in their 50s is a weakness?   That means they have 10-15 MORE years of EXPERIENCE than Taggart, including NFL experience which they can use as a recruiting tool. They have coached some very bad teams in which they did not choose the players. Now they are in a situation where they choose the players and coach them up. I think its much easier to go from coaching the NFL to college than from college to the NFL. They aren't coaching a bunch of grown men who make more money than they do. Now they have young kids who are trying to learn the game so that they can be successful and go to the NFL. These kids have to great father figure coaches with NFL experience, including one coach who actually took a team the the SUPERBOWL. I refuse 2 believe that they are not qualified or going to fail. All we can do is see where they are 2-3 years from now and you shall remember this post when they have success 😎 Lovie had a crappy team at Tampa Bay, no coach could of turned that team around. Tampa Bay hasn't been good since the Warren Sapp days. Been a dumpster fire since then and they still suck now. Don't forget that Lovie took the bears to the superbowl with Rex Grossman as the QB...yes...Rex Grossman lol

Just because you have plenty of experience doesnt make you a good coach, just knowledgeable.

Look at Mcvay who replaced Fisher and staff on the Rams made them look very incompetent.

Knowledge is the key to everything in life my friend. I remember when Hubie Brown  became coach for the Grizzlies, thee media said he was too old to relate to players like Jason Williams (White Chocolate) and all of the other younger players. There was a story later on in which he had no problem with the age gap b/c most of the players respected the knowledge he had and gravitated to him b/c of that. Why do you think Taggart hired Kinan to his staff? He had experience and knowledge and it helped. We can go back and fourth on this subject all day, but let's just let the season pass by and we will see how successful Lovie and Herm are this year.

Lovie has one, maybe two left and I’d be shocked if Herm makes it past 3 years.

Slow it down, Cali...you're whipping up my hopes 🙂  Hope you're right...I know you've been a close follower of the program, so I trust your judgment.

Nope... won't slow down this time... not-at-all... uh uh...  I'm all aboard the Barnett Express! Big Red will take us to the promise land. (Cleavon Little voice from Blazing Saddles)

Then why do most coaches suck when they get older?  The rarely get better... Bowden... Paterno... etc  Only a few don't.  The game passes everyone by and the college game is much different than the pro game.

The way the college football is set up, your head coach doesn't need to be an X and Os kind of guy. His main job is marketing his program and himself to the kids and their parents. Bring the talent in and surround yourself with X and O guys and the wins will follow. We saw that with xCWT.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
