  1. I just found my new desktop wallpaper until April
  2. You can still schedule those non-conference teams in the new conference. You'd be able to keep those AND have a constant schedule with branded teams with more prestige than what's left in the AAC. I also don't agree with the view of rejecting an offer from a G5 "stepping stone conference" for a G5 lesser one with a lower profile. I'd also argue the SEC will eventually move to a 9 game (like the B1G) or perhaps a 10 game conference slate. They've added more teams (possibly more later) for more content and therefore would get a lucrative pay bump due to higher TV viewership due to desired matchups. Also they would have more NIL money to distribute. Something else the players would buy into.
  3. None of those are guaranteed conference games. No opportunities for a rivalry even if we win the series. Plus, the powers that be could create a divide and strangle those matchups later on. The SEC could go to 9 conference games and end further opportunities. I'd rather take the sure thing, even its against lesser brand names. That conference would easily be the best of the have nots and seen as the stepping stone conference.
  4. I'd still prefer to be on an island with those teams. Sure the traveling cost will go up a lot, but we more importantly need exposure with some constant quality teams (Wash St, Or St, Boise, etc.)
  5. Do you not know how the Circle of Poo works? Lol
  6. As good as Leavitt was, we need to move on as a fanbase. Golesh is doing good things with the turd he was handed. Let's embrace it.
  7. This is OUR moment. The climb starts today. Against all odds we need this win. If we get stomped it will only be business as usual. No more moral victories.
  8. Tampa market, AAU status, strong recruiting grounds, emerging facilities are all great, but they are secondary to national notoriety. We have to find a way to build our brand. Teams who haven't won for years, like Miami (also no OCS) continue to be in discussions to joining the B1G or SEC based exclusively on their brand.
  9. If FSU finds a way, you better believe Clemson will be the next shoe to drop. Then UNC, Virginia and maybe Miami will soon follow. BC, WF and Syracuse won't get a look from anyone besides the AAC. Question is would enough ACC teams be left to keep the ACC name? Power status?
  10. I think once the ACC GOR plays out we'll get the nod. FSU and Miami will be gone but at least we'll have some P5 level teams to build with. The ACC will NEED a Florida presence.
  11. How so? I believe when the ACC GOR expires in 2036 than we'll get our invite into the ACC. I cannot realistically see the SEC or B1G. The PAC 12 is too far away geographically. The Big 12 will probably prefer whatever is left of the ACC after the SEC and B1G take what they want. That should open up enough spots in the ACC for us. Can't see that happening until the ACC GOR expires.
  12. AAU all day. It may take another 10-20 years to go P5 as things develop. Just relax and be patient, it will eventually happen.
  13. If the B1G was smart they would invite us ASAP.
