I'd be down for that - the guy has proven his worth at UL and he's a perfect "buy low" candidate (meaning that due to his recent controversies he'd actually be willing to take the USF job to try and improve his image whereas previously we wouldnt be anywhere on his radar.) 

Gotta be aware of the baggage (looks like he got burned for being too loyal to a big name coach like Pitino) so the admin would certainly have to be more vigilant, but this could move could certainly provide big returns in areas where we are in need (fundraising, raising athletic profile/marketing). I'd say give it a shot.

If they haven't nailed down Derrick Brooks for PR and making it rain and a policy wonk for the details yet New England Bull and I will be visiting Judy et al on Monday to talk some sense into them.

Finally some good news! Hopefully the hiring committee and Judy will have the balls and realize we are not running a church camp and hire Jurich. We need to step up our game now!

I am still good with this GBS, but I am also fine with Jurich too. Either option is a win and move in the right direction for the athletic department.  I am just hoping we don’t get som scrub from the west coast or mid west who has no idea of who we are.

This is a huge overlooked positive for Jurich.   UL was with through out pretty much all of our conference journey since we've had football.  He's seen an athletic department that was horribly managed for long swaths of its life be very competitive with a school like UL who has tons more resources.   He knows we have the ability to compete with anybody with the right leadership and probably even understands what we need to improve to reach our potential just through passive knowledge of our program.
