****....this thread has turned into a discussion of the 84 Cubs. God I love the BullsPen.

Lol. Was hoping the professor would have brought up the 85 Bears but he didn't take the bait.

FWIW, Announced attendance for UConn v ECU was 14,086. I wonder what their actual attendance was.

Attendance for this rescheduled game between #ECU and #UConn just over 14K.

UConn fans were previously mocking USF attendance. Perhaps, they should worry more about their own.

I went to USF/UConn game in Connecticut a few years ago. What a dump, and is far away from main campus. They don't get to mock USF about anything.

Was listening to 620 on my way to work...they mention the scores for UF and FSU, but not a word about USF. We are a top 20 team and they can't even give us 10 seconds of time to mention our win. The local media sucks!

They are very short sighted  IMO.

That's something our crack marketing crew should be up on. A simple phone call could help the cause.

Read a few of their posts and they are complaining about sitting in the sun at the end of Sept in UConn.  Our fans aren't the only ones and have much more heat to deal with.

For some reason people in Tampa love hockey. Also, it makes it easier to appear to have great attendance when the stadium is only 20k seats...

What? That's 20,00 tickets over 42 home dates. At 97% capacity, that's 800,000 tickets. It would take a little over 12 sellouts at Raymond James to equal that.

Re: Lightning. Went to a game last year. Got 2 lower level seats for $20 each on the street. Upper level (300s) were very empty.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
