Are there really that many schools that have the students on the side and not in or near the end zone?

Not sure how you can say that when the lightning sold out pretty much every game last year for a bad hockey team.

I love Tampa as it is the city I call "home", however it is what it is. A passionless city. Transplants and transients who call other places "home". The harsh reality is Tampa is great place for a vacation, but it has not gotten behind anything USF labeled. I'm not sure of the reason(s). I believe if USF opened the gates and gave away free tickets and parking to any game this season they couldn't get 50K thru the gates. Again, not sure why. Wish I knew the answer. Go Bulls! I agree 100%!! 40k OCS would be filled with at least 15k+ students, they are already there, so it's something to do (that's how Michigan State was during bad years, nothing else for students to do). To sell or give away just 25k would much easier and the stadium would look a lot more full too.

They can harass the visting team. If others come looking for their seats after missing consecutive games they go to the end zone seats. The underdog team that played tough against the big boys is what drew major attention. Absolutely nobody cares about blowing out schools the average sports fan barely knows or has heard of.
