It's always good to know your value in the marketplace.  I've done similar things before and I have always encouraged people on my team to do the same.  I look at it as a reflection on me if my people are getting promotions.

It's not about that. I mean the man makes over a million dollars a year. And he knows he's going to get more money soon. My problem with this move is that the season isn't even over, and he's doing something like this. What about his current players? What about his current coaches? And then what about the recruits. Hell, I'm just a fan and I'm mad. It's a really selfish move.

I sincerely hope he gets the job. Best of luck to him landing it!

This is the way the game is played and Taggart is playing it perfectly. If USCe wants him we can't afford to match them if not this is great leverage for an extension.

With this logic nobody would ever move schools unless they were fired or forced to resign. This is the way the coaching business works.

Def not excited. He had his best season ever at 8-4...in a G5 conference. Losses to FAU and an FCS school. I know that UF lost to an FCS school and should have lost to FAU, but there is no comparison really. He turned two programs around (although we have only had one good season, we could go 3-9 next year), but that wouldnt be enough to convince me. Especially with the other coaches out there. Taggart is great for USF right now. Going to SCAR would be a huge leap. 

Cautious optimism at best.
