Harlan and Aresco have repeatedly said they will do whatever is needed to stay competitive with the P5 schools.  Want to play with the big boys you have to pay with the big boys

the LOWEST salary in the SEC is $3.3 million.

OK...so 2.9X

Point is, it's a big raise, but not Spurrier or established coach $$.

And...it's likely a moot point now.

Holtz made $2 million

Leavitt made $1.5 million

Willie makes $1.1 million

UCF new coach makes $1.7 million on the other hand

Taggart should get a raise

This, right on.  Tom Herman, Now CWT.  Even UCF ponied up and started thier new coach at a respectable salary.  Money talks and if we can start locking up coaches in the 3 mil range, the conference perception will increase.

While I agree that he probably doesn't deserve that either, whats the point of giving him more money if the amount of money we're giving him won't keep him here?

we can increase the buyout proportionally

so if the 25 or so regular posters on TBP all contribute an additional $1,000 each we could raise CWT's salary from $1.15 million per year to $1.17 million per year.

I'm not talking about $1,000, but that would be a start.  Thought we had 600 or 6,000 members.  If it is 6,000 then $1,000 each is $6,000,000.  That would work.
