It's a lock!  Willie is the new Spurrier.

Willie isn't going anywhere this year.

Now, if we are successful next year, that's a different story.

He would have way more leverage after doing something.  He beat Temple and Syracuse.  And lost to Maryland.  Next year would give a way better launching point if we were to beat FSU and win the championship.

He does have the turnarounds at WKU and USF. And then there's the Harbaugh connection.

South Carolina wouldn't have invited him for an interview if he wasn't a serious contender. I mean Spurrier retired some weeks ago, so they've had time to think and plan.

And for him, he wouldn't go to the interview if he wasn't serious.

So many drama queens in here. Rhule (Temple) and Herman (Houston) both interviewed for numerous jobs recently and stayed. If you have a decent/good season in this conference, you'll get looked at. Taggart isn't going to be that loyal coach that Leavitt would've been, no matter how bad you want to believe that. I think he stays and is doing this for a bump up in pay. It's not going to affect recruiting. If he stays he stays, if he goes, he goes...
