Someone pointed out the Sagarin line is like 28 or something like that.

Sagarin -29

Massey -34.5

wisconsin could cover by halftime

i am taking wisconsin

What a fan

Smazza aside...

What makes you a bad fan for being realistic and knowing USF will not compete in this game? We are going to get killed. I'm still a fan. I'm just not delusional.

That's why they play the game dude. It is not delusional to think usf could win the game if a couple things go our way.

Something tells me we could force 6 turnovers and score a TD on defense and we still won't win...

I believe USF will show up for this game and the team will play better away from home.  Playing in front of 80k, whether they are your fans or not will be a welcome change from the Tomb @ RJS.

Still gonna lose decisively but any facet of the game from USF that performs respectably will be a silver lining.

I disagree, but what do I know?

you know it'll take more than a "couple things" to go our way in order for us to win.  A couple things will help us cover.  We'll need several breaks, and to capitalize on them, in order to win.

Correct, not necessarily delusional. However, possible and probable are across town from one another. The idea that USF could win "IF a couple of things go our way" sounds like we're relying on luck, a twist of fate, to come out ahead.  Now, if one were to say USF is going to win, I think that's closer to delusional.

It all has to start somewhere...who thought we'd beat FSU? Miami? Notre Dame? Auburn?

I know our teams were better and far more seasoned back then, and that we are rebuilding. But man, the hope has been sucked right out of this place.

I will not be surprised if we lose by 14 or less

However, I will also not be surprised if it's a blowout

I WILL be surprised if we create big time turnovers and convert on them and somehow win this game. If you go back and look at those "signature" wins, we had big time turnovers in all of them and a couple of explosive plays.

You never know.

I wouldn't touch the line with Smazza's money. I expect a blow out, I don't know what USF team will show up and as has been pointed out there is a significant chance of an extended period of garbage time if Wisconsin runs away early resulting in points against their 2nd/3rd string that might result in a cover.

As a fan I have no expectations, I'd like to see it be competitive, I'd like to see signs of improvement. The 2nd is more important. Maybe a week away from Raymond James will do the team good. For me, it's like a practice week except a greater chance of injury happening.

A line like this though makes me think my wife and I may be headed to Disney earlier than we had planned. We'll be going after the game.

If we win, do you think we get more than 30k next home game?

More importantly, will we be ranked?

Next home game is ECU, which is also an expected loss, so no...IMO

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
