I must have a guardian angel. In setting the bet, sportsbook.ag had some issue with my credit card and did not accept my deposit. No bet.

This should be a lesson for me to avoid betting...especially anything on USF.

Wow, technological errors save the day

 

I do wonder if Taggart's "football gods" he referenced this week helped.  As usual, I waited till the last minute (10 prior to kick off) to set up & fund the account.  It hung up & I was getting frustrated...but clearly, it was for the best. 

 

Had it gone thru, I'd have been upset with 3-3 at the half, but instead, I'm happy (but nervous).

Great first half.  Defense is legit when it can make tackles.  Offense would be half decent if our freaking receivers could catch the balls.  It was still a game until that 9 minute Wisconsin drive 90 yards to go up 27-10.  Swanson's got to take that ball out of bounds.  Oh well, the refs weren't helping our cause either.

 

Maybe we can put it all together against ECU.  We may possibly be a fringe bowl team yet.

I would think a fan would have a much better grasp on the reality of the gap between these two teams in all facets of the game. Just because you enjoy supporting/rooting for a particular team, doesn't mean you're supposed to suspend reality. I have been a Cubs fan my entire life, that doesn't mean I think Edwin Jackson is going to win the Cy Young this year just because he's a Cub. I would love for USF to win, but I've also seen enough of this team to know what the chances are.
