I want him to have the vision for fundraising.  Make it exciting to a part of.  Not an introvert in an office.

 

The best fundraising effort he could bring forth is showing donors a commitment to success.  Not all donors automatically assume a guy is doing his best, giving it his all.

 

It should be a small slice of what the AD does for a program.  If we haven't learned that lesson yet, we never will.

So if a search firm is responsible for making the hires, what do we need an AD for?

Someone needs to sit in the office marked "Athletic Director." We wouldn't want it to go to waste.
