Welcome Coach Golesh. I hope he does well here. 

Think he is a risky pick by Kelly since he comes with zero head coaching experience; training wheels, and a verry steep learning curve. Also brings zero excitement, and also big question mark regarding whether he can recruit. So in my opinion this is not a good hire.

Would have preferred some established HC with recent success as a manager. If this doesn't work out lets say 2 years from now; I will have zero confidence left in Kelly.

Having said that I hope I am wrong and that his hire works out.

It isn't a splash hire, his credentials are questionable because VOLS forums say he doesn't call plays/some say he does, he is young and inexperienced,  he has no previous head coaching experience at the FCS/FBS Level, can he recruit, can he recruit defense, and can he hire competent coordinators? Benn lurking here for awhile, finally decided to register an account.  I hate that I'm being so petty, but it really does piss me off that this guy was an assistant at UCF. I get coaching is a mercenary business, but for some reason that really bothers me. Add in the ZERO HC experience and I just don't like this hire.  I don't hate the man, but I'm not going to get excited until I see something, but this just feels like going to Prom with your 4th-5th choice.

Can't let the UCF experience get you down. There are a bunch of UF, UCF, etc people running around USF's halls.

I almost feel bad for the guy.  He will get no honeymoon period with the fanbase.

I absolutely loathe UCF to my DNA but the reality is their overall Athletics approach is something we can learn from. Maybe he can take some nuggets of wisdom and help us apply them.
