UT fan here. No he isn't the main play caller. They did share the duties. He's a great recruiter. He's great at finding mismatches in the defense. Overall your getting a good coach. UT fans are gonna miss him. I think it's a solid hire.

Look I understand most of us had others in mind and think didn’t get what we wanted.

Still, this guy chose to take the job, he is a finalist for the Broyles award as top Assistant Coach. And I know in other boards many fans thought highly of him.

I wish him the best and will support him as best I can, because if he succeeds, then USF succeeds and that’s 2hat we all want.

Go Bulls and let’s see what he does in hiring a staff, recruiting and winning.

All he can do is prove himself to the fans is win. It isn't a splash hire, his credentials are questionable because VOLS forums say he doesn't call plays/some say he does, he is young and inexperienced,  he has no previous head coaching experience at the FCS/FBS Level, can he recruit, can he recruit defense, and can he hire competent coordinators? Lets hope this is the young coach that is willing to put in the extra effort to turn this around and sell USF . GO GO GOLESH!

All of us will accept him as our coach. We are on a message board talking about our school. We will do what it takes as fans. This is a horrible hire. I hope to be proven wrong but unfortunately that’s what i need to be..proven wrong. So alex prove us all wrong.

This guy has never even ran a program and has been a coordinator for three years and had Heupel training him.  So we either struck oil or a heaping pile of fools gold turds.

I loved Scott and Strong and they sucked. I'm not a fan of this one so obviously it was a good hire.

Man **** this move. I’m all negative energy about CJS2.0 - and I’m hoping this is one of those posts that’s make me look like a moron in 3 years.
