UT fan here. No he isn't the main play caller. They did share the duties. He's a great recruiter. He's great at finding mismatches in the defense. Overall your getting a good coach. UT fans are gonna miss him. I think it's a solid hire.

In the last two years combined as a playcaller, including his year at UCF, Golesh’s offense is averaging a nation-best 3.06 plays per minute and 1.53 points per minute, which is third in the FBS during that span. yes. I'm sure heupel collaborates to some degree and always has veto power just like any other head coach.

He probably is a big upgrade over Scott.

I just don't like optics of hiring another OC...we needed an established hc that won't be making his first defensive staff.

If he doesn't hire FAUs fired staff that be a good sign I guess.

I'm glad Kelly didn't go out and hire the safe choice. No one other than Dion really did anything for me. We didn't overpay for retreads and he wasn't a hot name like Chadwell. We didn't go after someone that's looking for a way out of their current job like Candle or Allen

obviously not the popular choice
